Empowering Communities
Community Partners works with individuals, groups, foundations and institutions to create and scale nonprofit projects, establish coalitions, and manage major philanthropic initiatives. With new leadership in place, they were looking to rebrand and start fresh. We pushed their existing brand beyond clean and corporate with a vibrant new website, that reflects the grassroots organizations and partnerships they support. These efforts resulted in winning a 2023 Web Excellence Award.

We wanted the website to evoke emotion and give visitors an immediate sense of empowerment— that anything is possible. By mixing organic and geometric shapes we balanced the idea of creativity and structure. We overlapped imagery, line art, and vibrant shapes, positioning them in a way that broke the typical grid—indicative of the change they strive to create and the diverse issues they support. All this, while meeting AA accessibility standards.

Strategic functionality
Community Partners had a lot of information to communicate. It was important for us to use our expertise and understanding of how people consume content online, and be strategic in the way it was presented.
Pinned sections temporarily stop the page from scrolling vertically, while it rotates through copy and imagery. This allows information to be presented in smaller segments, rather than overwhelming a user with everything at once.
A Custom Board Portal
A huge part of Community Partner’s behind-the-scenes operations involves boards and committees that meet regularly. They have a robust database of meeting materials, resources, and events to manage on a regular basis. We helped architect, design, and develop a custom internal facing board portal to meet their specific needs.
By keeping the UI experience clean and simple, it allowed users to quickly and easily find the information they needed. Our dev team worked their magic to organize the complicated data and serve it up in a way that is intuitive and easy for them to manage on their own.
